Research found no official Jasper County Sheriff inmate mobile app and no official social-profile link in the reviewed sheriff navigation. The website offers an email roster-update signup, but the sheriff does not publish its trigger or cadence. That signup is not VINE and should not be described as a release alert.

The reviewed site lists no dedicated records form, records email, or fee table. Call 601-764-2588 first to identify the records custodian and accepted delivery method, or mail or deliver a focused request to 29 West 8th Avenue, Bay Springs, MS 39422. Normal posted office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Give the full name, aliases, date of birth if known, and the sheriff arrest number.
- State the approximate booking and release dates and identify Jasper County Jail.
- Ask for the existing booking photograph, booking sheet, release date, and release reason.
- Request electronic delivery and a cost estimate before reproduction begins.
- If material is withheld, ask for the specific exemption and all segregable nonexempt parts.
Miss. Code Ann. § 25-61-5 controls response procedure. Without an adopted procedure, access is due within one working day after a written request. An agency procedure cannot normally place production or denial later than seven working days. If production is not possible by then, the agency must give a specific written explanation, and production generally may not pass fourteen working days without agreement. Jasper Mugshots After Expungement
An expungement can change public access to official records and can require an agency to purge or make material nonpublic. It does not prove that every screenshot or independent copy has vanished. Mississippi Code § 99-19-71 includes a petition route when an arrest ended in dismissal, dropped charges, no disposition, or a not-guilty result, along with other offense-specific routes. Correct Jasper Mugshot Records
Separate an identity error from a case-status change. An identity error may involve the wrong person, arrest number, or image. A status change may involve dismissal, acquittal, expungement, or later discharge. Send the exact source record that proves the requested correction. The sheriff, court, and MDOC each control their own records, so one office may not be able to alter a copy held by another. Keep the URL, access date, response, and corrected record together.
Match Jasper Booking Photos
The arrest number is the strongest local key when a Jasper County name produces more than one possible image. Compare that number with the arrest date, age, arrest agency, and charge text on the 48-hour card. A matching face alone is not enough. The public card can show a photograph beside a release reason, but the reason applies to that booking event only. A later arrest creates a new photo, number, and custody record.

VINE and the Mississippi registry serve different purposes. A VINE result is a custody-status and notification record, not a permanent photo archive. The state sex offender registry is limited to people with a qualifying registration duty and is not a general released-inmate collection.
